General Information about Toowoomba

There are many things to see and do in Toowoomba all year round. In spring time, Toowoomba's parks and gardens become vibrant and ablaze with colour and life, and to celebrate Toowoomba's status as "The Garden City", every year in September the Carnival of Flowers is held, with a street parade, and other activities.

Visit our 165 council parks and gardens, including the beautiful Japanese gardens. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Lockyer Valley from Picnic Point Lookout with coffee shop and restaurant. Take a stroll through history at the wonderful Cobb & Co Museum, and if fine wine is for you a visit to our local wineries is a must.

The Chocolate Cottage Cafe and Black Forest Cuckoo Clock shop at Highfields are certainly worth a visit. For the gourmet in all of us, a meal at the award winning Weis Seafood Restaurant is an experience not to be missed.

For more information on where to stay and what to do, see our Toowoomba directory.
