About Wagga Wagga

General Information about Wagga Wagga

Wagga Wagga is a city in New South Wales straddling the Murrumbidgee River. It is the state's largest inland city, as well as an important agricultural, military, and transport hub of Australia. The city is located midway between the two largest cities in Australia, Sydney and Melbourne, and is the major regional centre for the Riverina and South West Slopes regions.

It's a family-friendly city with plenty of things to do and attractions for the kids including a miniature railway, go-kart racing and the amazing Oasis Aquatic Centre.

There are historic buildings aplenty, including the Wagga Courthouse, and a visit to the Museum of the Riverina is fun to find out about local heroes. Enjoy a glass of premium sparkling, table or fortified wines, from local vineyards in the Riverina, the largest wine producing region in NSW.

Popular places to visit are The National Glass Collection, the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery and the Botanic Gardens.
