It is Australia's first inland city, 196 km south-west of Sydney. It's a thriving rural community and regional arts centre. You can still admire the lovingly preserved architecture of Goulburn, that's surrounded by grazing land. Goulburn was home to Australia's first motor cycle and first motor-car grand prix held in 1927.
