Bathurst is a regional city in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales. Bathurst is often referred to as Gold Country as it was the site of the first gold discovery and where the first gold rush occurred in Australia.

Bathurst is located on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range, 207 km west of Sydney. This gracious and historical town has grand heritage buildings, parklands and tree-lined streets. It's also home to Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit where two major endurance meets are held each year: the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Bathurst 1000.

Popular places to visit are the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, the Jenolan Caves and the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum.
